Sounds from a Clock
Found in the book 'The Temple of Silence'
In the gentle rhythm of a ticking clock, this poem contemplates life’s oscillating moments—between remembering and forgetting, presence and absence, reminding us of the timeless freedom that lies beyond.
On the wall hangs a clock,
alternating tick and tock.
a remembering, a forgetting,
a resisting, a letting.
a waking up, a drifting away,
a life to manage, an actor at play.
arriving home, venturing out,
complete and whole, gnawing doubt.
tick blind, tock see,
what you are is ever-free!
